The global standard for composite manufacturing is 48 inches x 96 inches (1220mm x 2440mm) , commonly referred to as a “4×8 Sheet.”
- Thickness Availability: Most structural foams (PVC, PET) are available from 3mm (1/8″) up to 50mm (2″) in single sheets. For thicker sections (e.g., 100mm hull bottoms), sheets are scored (grooved) to allow bending or bonded together using core-bonding putty.
