Second, select the appropriate thickness. Core thickness has a major influence on the overall stiffness and weight of the sandwich structure. Increasing core thickness can often improve bending efficiency without adding as much weight as increasing the thickness of a solid material.
Third, consider the operating environment. If the panel will be exposed to moisture or temperature changes, water absorption and dimensional stability should be evaluated. For adhesive bonding, the compatibility between the XPS Sandwich Core Material and the adhesive or resin system should also be verified.
Finally, consider manufacturing requirements. Sheet dimensions, thickness tolerance, cutting accuracy, machining characteristics, packaging, delivery time, and supply consistency can all affect production efficiency.
For large-volume procurement, it is recommended to request technical data sheets and samples, conduct a small production trial, and then confirm the final specification based on actual processing results.
