XPS Foam Sandwich Core provides a practical way to reduce the weight of composite and sandwich panels while maintaining useful structural thickness. This is particularly valuable for large panels where using a completely solid material would result in excessive weight.

XPS Foam Sandwich Core can be combined with FRP, fiberglass, aluminum, and other face-sheet materials. After bonding, the materials form an integrated sandwich structure in which the face sheets carry the primary tensile and compressive loads and the core supports the skins and carries part of the shear load.
