We recommend a rainscreen principle system using concealed mechanical fixings with a pressure-equalized cavity. The panels, often fabricated with perimeter joinery, are hung on a sub-frame using aluminum clips or undercut anchors. Sealed, flexible gaskets (EPDM) or field-applied weatherproof silicone sealants manage the air and weather barrier. This design philosophy recognizes that no sealant joint is perfect over 50 years; thus, any incidental water that passes the outer skin is deflected and drained within the ventilated cavity, ensuring the interior structure remains permanently dry and mold-free.
