The key is a systems approach. The PET core is never directly exposed to UV radiation or moisture; it is encapsulated by the face sheets and perimeter seals. For high-UV regions, we specify face sheets with a PVDF coating system based on Kynar 500® resin, a proven technology with 30-year chalk and fade resistance warranties. For arctic climates, we have validated that the PET core retains its impact resistance and does not become brittle at -40°C. Its negligible water absorption also ensures full resistance to freeze-thaw spalling, a common killer of conventional insulation.
